Taking around 10 minutes to complete, Half Life 2 – Episode 3 (Gordon Freeman : Rational Man) is a very witty little adventure with some very funny moments. With Half-Life 2 so close to completion, and with the likes of Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 3 to look forward to (see Looking Forward', above), the future is surely bright for a company that's constantly striving to roll back the barriers in an attempt to take the FPS genre to all-new heights. He’s making up for that now though – he’s had enough of engaging in guerrilla terrorism against the Combine and has decided to use his superior intellect and debate them instead, dealing out devastating truth bombs that are sure to show them the error of their ways…. Gordon is an intelligent man, a top-flight theoretical physicist with an MIT degree, so it’s a little odd that he hasn’t uttered a single word during the previous instalments of Half Life. Half Life 2 – Episode 3 (Gordon Freeman : Rational Man) is a short, well drawn and very silly fan made visual novel in which Gordon finally decides to speak as he attempts to beat the Combine by “tossing out helpings of verbal truth like razor sharp shurikens!”
